Operatives of the Kebbi State Hisbah Board have arrested 25 youths during a raid on a hotel in Argungu as part of efforts to curb social vices in the state.
The board’s Director of Shariah, Sirajo Kamba, disclosed the development in a statement issued on Saturday in Birnin Kebbi.
According to Kamba, the operation was carried out on July 3, during which officers apprehended 12 males and 13 females allegedly involved in immoral activities at the hotel.
He said the raid formed part of the board’s ongoing campaign to promote moral values, uphold public decency and tackle social misconduct across the state.
Kamba added that investigations had commenced and assured that anyone found to have violated the law would be prosecuted in accordance with due process.
