The Police Service Commission (PSC), in partnership with the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), has opened the application portal for the recruitment of Police Constables and Specialist personnel for the 2025/2026 exercise.
The recruitment drive, approved by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, targets 50,000 new officers to strengthen national security and enhance the police’s ability to tackle rising crime and insecurity across the country.
The online application portal will open from December 15, 2025, and will close on January 25, 2026.
Below is a detailed guide for applicants:
Step 1: Check Eligibility
Applicants must:
Be Nigerian citizens by birth.
Be physically, mentally, and medically fit.
Be free from financial embarrassment.
Have no criminal record and be of good character.
Age Requirements:
General Duty: 18–25 years
Specialists: Up to 28 years
Female candidates must not be pregnant during training.
Physical Requirements:
General Duty (Male): Minimum height 1.67m; chest 86cm
General Duty (Female): Minimum height 1.64m
Step 2: Confirm Academic Qualifications
General Duty: At least five credits in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB, including English and Mathematics.
Specialists: At least four credits and a minimum of three years’ relevant trade experience, plus Trade Test Certificates.

Certificate of State or Local Government of Origin
