Walter Emeribe, husband of Mrs. Chinwe Emeribe of the Federal Ministry of Defence, has appealed to the Ministry to provide information about his wife’s whereabouts nearly two months after she was kidnapped in Kabba, Kogi State.
Emeribe said he last saw his wife on November 9, 2025, when he dropped her at a bus park in Festac, Lagos, for a trip to Abuja.
He last communicated with her when the bus reached Akure, Ondo State, and has had no contact since.
Emeribe said he was informed that some of the abducted Ministry of Defence staff had been released, but he is still in the dark about his wife and another abducted woman, Mrs. Juliana Onwuzurike.
Speaking on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily on Wednesday, he said “What I am requesting now is for the Ministry of Defence to tell me where my wife is, whether she is dead or alive.
“They should take steps to locate her and Mrs. Onwuzurike,” Emeribe said.
Mrs. Chinwe was among six Ministry of Defence staff abducted on their way to Abuja for a promotional exam.
The abductors reportedly demanded a ransom of ₦150 million.
