‘I stand with you’: Buhari lauds Tinubu on 72nd birthday

Former President Muhammadu Buhari has felicitated his successor, President Bola Tinubu, on his 72nd birthday, saying he is fully committed to the success of the present administration.

Buhari said this in a telephone conversation with Tinubu to congratulate the president on his 72nd birthday on Friday, March 29, 2024.

According to a statement issued by Buhari’s spokesman, Garba Shehu, the former president followed up his public statement with a phone call to Tinubu.

Shehu noted: “In the course of the conversation, the former president said he was fully committed to the success of the APC administration under President Tinubu.

“In this regard, President Buhari prayed profusely for Tinubu’s success, saying that praying for a leader is imperative as his success and well-being are for the nation (everyone), adding that the accomplishments of the new administration must be seen as national achievements.”
