ICPC schedules corruption trials, arraignments across FCT, six states

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has scheduled multiple corruption cases for hearing in courts across the Federal Capital Territory and six states between July 13 and 17, 2026.

The anti-graft agency disclosed this in its weekly cause list published on its verified X handle on Sunday, outlining proceedings ranging from arraignments and trial continuations to hearings, adoption of final addresses and judgment.

The week-long proceedings will begin on Monday at the FCT High Court in Gwagwalada with the continuation of the trial of FRN v. Edwin Oyuwe.

Several other matters are slated for Tuesday across courts in the FCT, Ondo, Nasarawa and Katsina states. They include the arraignments of Solomon Ale in Akure and Sani Lawal in Katsina, while final addresses are expected in FRN v. Tunde Orenuga & Anor before the Nasarawa State High Court in Lafia.

The commission also fixed the continuation of trials in cases involving Yusuf Abubakar Mustapha, Vitalis Mbeyi and Esther Olufunmilayo Moses before various FCT High Courts.

On Wednesday, hearings and trial continuations will take place in Abuja and Abakaliki, including the arraignment of Ali Musa and two others before the Federal High Court, Abuja, alongside hearings in suits involving the ICPC and other parties.

Proceedings will continue on Thursday with fresh arraignments before FCT High Courts in Apo and Nyanya, while the Delta State High Court in Asaba is expected to continue the trial of Chukwurah Victor Nwaonicha and two others.

The FCT High Court in Maitama is also scheduled to deliver judgment in the case of FRN v. Onamusi Onadeko on July 16.

The commission said the weekly schedule reflects its sustained efforts to prosecute corruption-related offences nationwide while promoting transparency by providing advance notice of court proceedings to litigants, stakeholders and members of the public.
