The Nigeria Police Force has graduated 10,000 newly trained constables from its various training institutions across the country, marking a major stride in efforts to strengthen internal security and enhance the operational capacity of the Force.
The Passing Out Parade, held simultaneously on October 7, 2025, in all Police Colleges and Training Institutions nationwide, represents a significant milestone in the ongoing reforms aimed at repositioning the Nigeria Police for modern, effective, and community-driven policing.
Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, while addressing the new constables, commended their resilience, discipline, and commitment throughout the rigorous training exercise.
He urged them to carry into service the values of honour, diligence, and patriotism, which were instilled in them during their training.
The IGP emphasized that the recruits underwent comprehensive instruction covering modern policing techniques, ethical conduct, and field operations.
The curriculum also focused on community partnership, intelligence-led policing, respect for human rights, and the responsible use of authority— principles designed to strengthen professionalism and deepen public confidence in the Force.
Egbetokun stated that the graduation aligns with the Police Force’s strategic manpower development plan under the current administration, aimed at improving visibility, responsiveness, and effectiveness in tackling security challenges nationwide.
He recalled that an earlier batch of 10,000 constables had passed out in January 2025, reflecting the administration’s sustained commitment to reinforcing the nation’s security architecture.
Reaffirming his dedication to police welfare, continuous training, and institutional reform, the IGP assured Nigerians that the Force remains steadfast in building a professional, accountable, and people-oriented police service capable of ensuring peace and safety across the country.
