The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has announced a review of passport application fees, effective September 1, 2025.
In a statement issued on Thursday by the Service’s Public Relations Officer, ACI AS Akinlabi, the new charges will apply only to applications made within Nigeria.
Under the revised rates, the 32-page passport with five-year validity will now cost N100,000, while the 64-page passport with 10-year validity will cost N200,000.
The NIS clarified that fees for Nigerians abroad remain unchanged at $150 for the 32-page, five-year passport and $230 for the 64-page, 10-year passport.
According to the Service, the review is aimed at sustaining the quality and integrity of Nigerian passports while ensuring continued accessibility for citizens.
