The Independent National Electoral Commission has urged eligible Nigerians to complete their voter registration before the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration exercise ends on Sunday, July 26, 2026.
In a public notice posted on its official X handle on Saturday, the commission reminded prospective voters that registration could be completed online through its dedicated CVR portal or in person at designated registration centres across the country.
INEC stressed that the deadline would not be extended, urging eligible citizens to take advantage of the remaining time to register.
“Your future won’t wait. Neither should you. The Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise ends Sunday, 26 July 2026,” the commission said.
The electoral body advised those requiring assistance to visit any of its state offices, local government area offices or designated registration centres to complete the process physically.
It added that all registration centres would continue to operate daily, including weekends, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. until the exercise closes.
According to the commission, Nigerians can complete the entire registration process online through its CVR portal or seek physical assistance at any approved registration centre.
The Continuous Voter Registration exercise forms part of INEC’s preparations for the 2027 general elections, allowing eligible Nigerians to register as new voters or update their voter information for inclusion in the national register of voters.
