Investors trade 4.68bn shares worth ₦38.86bn on stock market

The Nigerian Stock Exchange recorded strong trading activity on Tuesday, with investors exchanging a total of 4.68 billion shares valued at about ₦38.86 billion across 34,852 deals.

The surge in volume marked a significant uptick in market participation for the day.

A large portion of the trading activity was driven by Cornerstone Insurance, which led in both volume and value with approximately 3.67 billion units traded worth around ₦18.53 billion—accounting for over three-quarters of the total market turnover.

Other active stocks included FCMB and Wema Bank, which also contributed meaningfully to overall trading figures.

Market sentiment remained positive, reflecting heightened investor interest across several key equities.

This strong performance further highlights growing market liquidity and confidence among traders during the session.
