ISWAP kills 3 CJTF members, abducts humanitarian workers in Borno

Three members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) have been reportedly killed following an attack by suspected members of the Islamic State of the West African Province (ISWAP) on humanitarian workers in Monguno Local Government Area of Borno State.

It was gathered that three humanitarian workers were also kidnapped by the terrorists.

An intelligence, who spoke to a counter-insurgency expert in Lake Chad, Zagazola Makama, disclosed that the insurgents carried out the attack on Friday night at about 9pm.

It was further gathered that the attackers who stormed the town through the axis of Marte in Marte Local Government Area of the state came in through the Gana Ari community in Monguno, and then went straight to a compound housing humanitarian workers, shooting sporadically.
