The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has fixed Saturday, June 13, 2026, for the conduct of its Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) mop-up exercise.

The board said the mop-up is specifically for candidates who were successfully verified biometrically during the main examination but were unable to sit for it due to various challenges.

This was disclosed in a statement issued by JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, Fabian Benjamin.

JAMB recalled that the 2026 UTME was held between April 16 and April 23, 2026, noting that technical issues at some centres prevented a number of candidates from taking the examination.

The board added that candidates whose results were withdrawn over examination infractions, as well as those who could not be verified biometrically despite presenting themselves at their centres, have also been included in the mop-up exercise.

According to JAMB, the mop-up represents the final stage of the 2026 UTME and is aimed at resolving all outstanding issues affecting eligible candidates.

Affected candidates have been advised to begin printing their examination notification slips from June 6, 2026, while also ensuring they familiarise themselves with their designated centres ahead of the exam.

The board emphasised that no further opportunity will be provided for candidates to sit for the 2026 UTME after the mop-up exercise.
