Popular Nigerian TikTok creator Amadou Elizabeth Aminata, widely known as Jarvis, has advised singles to avoid getting married unless they are financially prepared.
Jarvis, known for her AI-robot content and relationship with fellow content creator Habeeb Hamzat, popularly called Peller, shared the advice while speaking about marriage preparations.
According to her, financial stability is essential for couples planning to settle down.
“If you don’t have money, don’t get married. I beg you, don’t even try it. But if you’re thinking about getting married, consider having a traditional wedding this year and a white wedding next year,” she said.
The content creator also acknowledged that wedding planning can be stressful regardless of a person’s financial status.
She revealed that she and Peller almost postponed their wedding, adding that couples may never feel completely ready for the occasion.
“We almost had to postpone our wedding, but even if we pushed it back 50 years, we would never really be ready for the wedding,” she said.
Jarvis’ comments come ahead of her wedding to Peller, which is scheduled to hold on August 1, 2026.
