Hon. Jim Okolo Chimezie, Chief Executive Officer of Jimez Petroleum Resources Ltd and a prominent figure in Nigeria’s energy sector, has strongly denied reports of any court ruling against him at the Federal High Court in Abuja or any other court in the country.
His reaction follows a recent online publication claiming that the Federal High Court in Abuja dismissed his fundamental rights lawsuit against the Department of State Services (DSS).
In a statement released on Friday, Okolo—who also serves as the Founder and President of the Jim Mezie Foundation, a non-governmental organization focused on youth empowerment, education, and healthcare—dismissed the report as false and misleading.
“The publication is entirely fabricated and a desperate attempt to tarnish my reputation,” he stated.
“My case involving Sir Emeka Okwuosa and agents of the DSS is still pending before a competent court.
“No ruling has been delivered, let alone a dismissal.”
He described the news as part of a broader campaign of misinformation aimed at damaging his image, particularly as his influence continues to grow regionally and globally.
“I urge the public to disregard these malicious claims.
“The truth will prevail, and I remain confident that justice will be served,” Okolo added.
