The Kaduna State Government says security agencies have discovered that the rumoured bomb explosion in the Abakpa area of the state was exaggerated.
The Kaduna State Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Dr James Kanyip, made this known via a statement on Wednesday, April 23, 2025.
Kanyip stated that the anti-bomb squad said the blast was an accidental discharge from a locally made dane gun.
The commissioner disclosed that an investigation into the incident was ongoing, adding that citizens should “go about their normal business and be assured of government’s commitment towards ensuring sustainable peace, security and harmonious co-existence of citizens in the State.”
