The Kaduna State Council of the National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives (NANNM) has commended Governor Uba Sani for approving the implementation of the Consolidated Health Salary Structure (CONHESS) and the Consolidated Medical Salary Structure (CONMESS) for health workers in the state.
In a letter dated September 2, 2025, and signed by State Chairman, Comrade Ishaku Yakubu, and State Secretary, Comrade Christiana Bawa, the union described the move as an act of “magnanimity and fairness” that has renewed the confidence of nurses in the administration.
The council noted that despite competing demands on state resources, the governor prioritized the welfare of health workers, a decision it said reflects his “genuine commitment” to healthcare delivery and aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
“This visionary leadership has boosted morale, improved productivity, and positioned Kaduna State as a model of labour-friendly governance,” the statement read.
The nurses and midwives pledged continued loyalty, dedication, and professional excellence in support of the governor’s health sector reforms.
