Kaduna pilgrims have been exemplary — Uba Sani

Governor Uba Sani has commended pilgrims from Kaduna State for their discipline and exemplary conduct while performing the 2026 Hajj in Saudi Arabia.

The commendation was conveyed in a statement issued on Thursday in Makkah by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Malam Ibraheem Musa, following a briefing by a high-powered delegation overseeing the Hajj operations.

According to the statement, Governor Sani expressed satisfaction with the behaviour of the pilgrims and the performance of officials, noting that Kaduna State has become a model for effective and efficient Hajj service delivery.

He reminded the pilgrims that Hajj, as one of the pillars of Islam, demands patience, sacrifice, and total devotion to Allah, describing it as both spiritually fulfilling and physically demanding.

The governor added that the report presented by the delegation aligned with feedback he had been receiving prior to his arrival in Saudi Arabia.

Earlier, the delegation, led by the Executive Chairman of the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Malam Salihu S. Abubakar, provided a comprehensive update on the Hajj exercise.

Abubakar outlined the agency’s activities, beginning with the sensitisation of intending pilgrims during the “Bita” orientation, followed by medical screenings at the Hajj camp and the airlift of pilgrims to Saudi Arabia.

He also highlighted key milestones recorded during the pilgrimage, including activities in Madina, the transition to Makkah, and the core Hajj rites at Arafat, Muzdalifa, and the symbolic stoning at Jamrat, before returning to Mina.

The delegation included senior government officials and members of the Hajj committee, such as the Governor’s Principal Private Secretary, Professor Bello Ayuba; Chairman of the House Committee on Interfaith and Hajj, Hon. Nazir Abubakar; Senior Special Assistant on Interfaith, Malam AbdulRahman Abuhunain; and the agency’s Director of Operations, Abubakar Usman Yusuf.
