The Chief Imam of Kafanchan Central Mosque, Adam Tahir, has died at the age of 130.
Confirming his demise, the Deputy Chief Imam of Kafanchan, Muhammad Kassim, said Sheikh Adam died on Wednesday evening after a brief illness.
While praying to God for the repose of the deceased’s soul, Kassim said the late Chief Imam would be greatly missed by Muslim faithful, saying he was “a role model to all”.

In his condolence message, the Emir of Jema’a, Muhammad Isa Muhammad II, described the death of Adam as a huge loss to the emirate and to the people of the southern part of Kaduna State.
The late Chief Imam was survived by 26 children, 290 grandchildren, and over 200 great-grandchildren.
