Kano State Government has renamed state-owned Kano State University of Science and Technology (KSTU), Wudil, after Africa’s richest billionaire, Aliko Dangote.
This is contained in a statement made available to The Star on Sunday by Kano State Commissioner of Information, Muhammad Garba.
The statement read: “Kano state Executive Council has approved the renaming of Kano state University of Science and Technology (KUST), Wudil.
“The institution is now to be called Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology (ADUST), Wudil.”
Garba said the decision followed an earlier recommendation by the university’s visitation panel.
