‎Kano Pilgrims to pay N7m as 2027 Hajj fare

The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced N7 million as the final fare for intending pilgrims for the 2027 Hajj.

‎The announcement was made by the Director-General of the board, Abubakar Ibrahim-Matawalle, in a statement issued by the service’s Public Relations Officer, Sulaiman Dederi, on Tuesday, August 11, 2026.

Ibrahim-Matawalle said the deadline for the closure of registration for the pilgrimage remains August 25, 2026.

He added: “All intending pilgrims who are yet to submit their international passports should do so before the deadline.

“Adherence to the deadline is necessary to facilitate proper documentation and ensure smooth preparations for pilgrimage.”

‎The director-general urged intending pilgrims and other stakeholders to take note of the announcement and comply within stipulated deadline.

The board, he said, is committed to providing efficient services to intending pilgrims and ensure smooth and successful Hajj operation.
