Kogi election: Tinubu presents APC flag to Ododo, lauds Yahaya Bello

President Bola Tinubu has presented the flag of the All Progressives Congress to the APC governorship candidate in Kogi State, Ahmed Usman Ododo, ahead of the November 11 gubernatorial election in the state.

Tinubu presented the APC flag to Ododo at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Thursday, November 2, 2023.

The president hailed Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, for making the party a formidable force in Kogi State, expressing optimism that the state would remain in the APC fold by winning the forthcoming governorship election.

He charged the APC leaders to continue to work hard to give the party victory in the poll.

Speaking, Ododo thanked Tinubu for throwing his weight behind him, assuring the president that he would ensure peaceful conduct before, during, and after the election.

“We urge all party leaders and esteemed members to continue to work hard to justify the confidence reposed in Kogi APC by Mr President,” he added.

Others present at the event were the APC National Chairman, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje; the Director General of the Campaign Council and the Minister of Steel Development, Shuaibu Abubakar Audu; and the state party chairman, Abdullahi Bello, among others.
