Kogi State Governor Usman Ododo on Wednesday gifted N20,000 to each corps member at the end of the 2026 Batch ‘B’ Stream II Orientation Course in Asaya, Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area of the state.

Declaring the orientation course closed, Ododo urged the corps members to settle quickly into their various Places of Primary Assignment (PPAs) and serve with diligence, selflessness, and hard work.

The governor, who was represented by the Kogi State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Monday Aridaojo, also assured the corps members of the state government’s continued support, urging them to sustain the skills acquired during the orientation course and transfer the knowledge to members of their host communities.

He appealed to employers, community leaders, and residents to receive the corps members warmly and give priority to their welfare throughout their service year.

Ododo commended the NYSC management, the State Coordinator, and her team, as well as other collaborating agencies, for ensuring the success of the orientation course despite the challenges encountered.
