Kunle Afolayan speaks on Oscar’s rejection of ‘Anikulapo’ movie

Ace Nigerian movie producer, Kunle Afolayan, has expressed displeasure over the rejection of his newly-released movie, ‘Anikulapo’, by the Nigeria Oscar committee for the 2023 edition of the award.

The movie which was released by the famous actor on Friday, September 30 has since been making waves.

Taking to his Instagram page on Monday, Afolayan said: “I am so pleased and delighted that the whole world has decided to tag Anikulapo film a masterpiece even though the Nigeria Oscar selection committee think its not worth submitting for the Oscars. Will keep doing my own thing.”

Oscars are awards for artistic and technical merit in the United States and international film industry.

The awards are regarded by many as the most prestigious and significant awards in the entertainment industry worldwide.
