The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of Ijanikin Police Station in Lagos State, CSP Bolaji Olugbenga, has been confirmed dead.
The death of the DPO was confirmed by the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, on Friday night.
It was gathered that Olugbenga slumped in his office and died before he could be rushed to a hospital on Thursday night.

Hundeyin, however, did not give details of the officer and what led to his death.
It was learned that the news of the DPO’s death threw the officers attached to the station into mourning.
A source in the division said the body of the DPO had been moved to a mortuary.
