Late Ekiti Speaker’s daughter marries lover in Lagos

Abisola, the daughter of the late Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Hon. Funminiyi Afuye, on Saturday, got married to her heartthrob, Babatunde.

The wedding ceremony held at the Archishop Vinning Memorial Church in Lagos comes barely a few days after the death of Afuye.

The Star had reported that Afuye died at the Ekiti State Teaching Hospital in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital on Wednesday after suffering a cardiac arrest.

The last public function attended by the late Speaker was the interfaith thanksgiving service organised to mark Governor Oyebanji’s resumption in office at the Government House grounds in Ado-Ekiti on Tuesday.
