The incident reportedly occurred on Friday afternoon at Novex Hotel, where the unidentified suspect was said to have checked in with the woman.
Sources said people around the hotel heard sounds of a struggle coming from the room and forced their way in, where they allegedly found the woman lying in a pool of blood with a deep cut to her neck.
The woman’s remains were subsequently evacuated from the hotel to an undisclosed hospital, while the suspect was reportedly arrested by the police.

“The Command has commenced full investigation into the incident. Further details will be communicated to members of the public as the investigation progresses.
“The Command urges members of the public to remain calm, avoid jungle justice, and allow the police to conclude investigation,” Nguroje stated.
The police said investigations were ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and determine the suspect’s alleged involvement.
