A yet-to-be-ascertained number of people have been injured in a building collapse in Lagos Island, Lagos State.
It was gathered that the three-storey building collapsed on Thursday, July 3, 2025.
The Lagos State Commissioner for Information, Gbenga Omotoso, confirmed the incident via a post on Facebook.
Omotoso disclosed that four occupants of the building have been rescued and taken to the hospital, adding that that the cause of the collapse remains unknown.

The commissioner stated: “A three-storey building has collapsed on Lagos Island.
“It is not yet clear why 2/4, Asesi Lane, Sasi Lane, (SASI Palace), Adeniji Adele Road went down.
“Four persons have been rescued from the rubble. They have been taken to hospital.
“Emergency responders at the incident scene are LASEMA, LASAMBUS, Lagos State Fire Service, LNSC, LASTMA, and the Police.”
