Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have apprehended 12 additional suspected logistics suppliers for terrorist groups during a raid at Gubio market in Gubio Local Government Area of Borno State.
According to a military source, the arrests were made on Sunday afternoon following a targeted intelligence-led operation supported by a covert informant.
The latest development brings the total number of suspected terrorist logisticians, couriers, and informants arrested within the last week to 53, as the theatre command intensifies its ongoing logistics-strangulation campaign against Boko Haram and ISWAP networks.
“The operation in Gubio market was purely intelligence-driven and executed without any resistance,” the source revealed.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the suspects were involved in various activities related to the supply and movement of essential items to insurgent groups operating across the North-East.
All suspects are currently in custody and are undergoing further interrogation by relevant intelligence agencies.
The source added that the sustained crackdown has significantly weakened the logistics channels of the terrorist groups, contributing to the current relatively calm—though still unpredictable—security atmosphere in the region.
He reaffirmed that troops remain highly motivated and committed to denying terrorists freedom of action and access to critical supplies.
