The incident occurred on Thursday, September 4, after three suspects were arrested in connection with a culpable homicide case and transferred to the Garko Division for further investigation.

According to the Kano State Police Command, angry youths armed with sticks and stones stormed the station, demanding “justice” for the victim.

They vandalised the premises, set a patrol vehicle ablaze, and damaged three others belonging to Hisbah and the Garko Local Government Council. Windows of the building were also smashed.

Tragedy struck when an exploding burning tyre fatally struck one of the attackers.

Three others sustained injuries, while three policemen were taken to Wudil Hospital for treatment.
