Multichoice, the parent company of DStv, says its SuperSport channel would not broadcast the forthcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Multichoice made this known in a statement on Wednesday, January 3, 2024.
The 34th edition of AFCON will commence on January 13 in Cote d’Ivoire.
The firm noted that it failed to secure the rights to broadcast the tournament.
It stated: “SuperSport Channel will not broadcast the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2023 scheduled for January 13th – February 11th, 2024, because the channel has not secured the rights to broadcast the tournament.
