Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has hailed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s visit to the state as a powerful symbol of unity and solidarity among Nigerians.
In a statement issued on behalf of the government and people of Plateau, Mutfwang said the President’s attendance at the funeral of Mama Lydia Yilwatda Goshwe, mother of APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, demonstrated his empathy, respect, and commitment to national cohesion.
“Your presence in our dear state was a great honour and a testament to your dedication to unity and understanding across Nigeria. The people of Plateau deeply appreciate this gesture,” the governor said.
He also commended Senate President Godswill Akpabio, House Speaker Tajudeen Abbas, members of the National Assembly, governors, and ministers who accompanied the President to the event.
Governor Mutfwang expressed optimism that President Tinubu would soon return to witness the ongoing transformation and renewed hope taking root in Plateau State.
“We remain thankful for your visit and look forward to hosting you again soon,” he added.
