The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has fixed fares for the 2026 Hajj exercise in Saudi Arabia, ranging between N8.1 million and N8.5 million, depending on departure zones.
NAHCON Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Prof. Abdullahi Saleh Usman, disclosed this on Friday while reviewing outcomes of the 2025 Hajj and unveiling early preparations for next year’s pilgrimage.
According to him, intending pilgrims from Maiduguri/Yola zone, covering Adamawa, Borno, Taraba and Yobe States will pay N8,118,333.67.
Those from other northern states are to pay N8,244,813.67, while pilgrims from southern states will pay N8,561,013.67.
Usman explained that the fares were reached after wide consultations with stakeholders and negotiations on service contracts.
He noted that NAHCON had earlier, in August, proposed a tentative deposit of N8.5 million pending final agreements.
He also confirmed that Saudi authorities had retained Nigeria’s quota of 95,000 slots for the 2026 Hajj, the same allocation as in 2025.
Each state and the Federal Capital Territory will therefore keep their current pilgrim allocations.
