Naira abuse: EFCC arrests cross-dresser Bobrisky

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested cross-dresser, Idris Okuneye popularly known as Bobrisky.

Bobrisky was arrested on Wednesday night, April 3, 2024 in Lagos over naira abuse, especially spraying of notes and currency mutilation.

S/he is presently being detained at the Lagos Command of the EFCC in Ikoyi.

EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, on Thursday, April 4, 2024 confirmed the arrest of Bobrisky, stating that s/he would be charged to court.

Bobrisky: I can date fraudster, monkey for money

Oyewale said: “Bobrisky is with us. He was arrested last night in Lagos and he is at our Lagos command. We arrested him for alleged abuse of naira notes, spraying of naira notes, and currency mutilation, among others.

“We are very serious about restoring the dignity of the naira.

“Though our investigation is still ongoing, but he will definitely be charged to court soon.”

In the past weeks, Bobrisky has been embroiled in controversies for winning the best dressed female at a movie premiere.
