The naira opened the week with a gain at the official market on Monday, February 9, 2026, trading at N1,354.25 against the United States dollar.
Data released by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) showed that the naira gained N11.93.
This represents a 0.8 per cent gain when compared to Friday, February 6, when it traded at N1,366.19 to a dollar.

The currency has remained relatively stable due to CBN reforms.
