The naira appreciated marginally against the United States dollar at the official foreign exchange market on Thursday, July 9, 2026, closing at N1,378.43.
Data published by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) showed that the local currency gained 63 kobo.
EFCC arraigns ex-Access Bank employee over N294.6m theft
The appreciation represents a 0.04 per cent gain when compared to Wednesday when the local currency traded at N1,379.06.
The gain reversed two days of slight depreciation by the naira.
