Naira appreciates against dollar at official market

The naira appreciated at the official market on Monday, August 10, 2026, trading at N1,360.14 against the United States dollar.

Data released by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) revealed that the currency gained N5.54.

This represented a 0.4 per cent gain when compared to Friday, when the currency traded at N1,365.68 per dollar.

NGX investors gain N1.91trn as market cap hits N160trn

The gain came after four consecutive days’ losses recorded the previous week.
