Naja’atu Mohammed: Aisha Buhari part of Villa cabal

A former Director in the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, ‭Naja’atu Mohammed‬, says Aisha, the wife of President Muhammadu Buhari, is part of the cabals in the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Mohammed said this on Arise TV on Monday, in reaction to Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai’s claims that some government officials in the State House were working against the APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, ahead of the 2023 general election.

It would be recalled that Governor El-Rufai, last Wednesday, said some “elements” in the Presidential Villa are working against Tinubu.

The governor had cited the petroleum subsidy issue and the naira redesign policy targeted at the APC presidential standard bearer, saying: “I believe there are elements in the Villa that want us to lose the elections because they didn’t get their way.

“They had their candidate and their candidate didn’t win the primaries; they are still trying to get us to lose the elections and they are hiding behind the president’s desire to do what he thinks is right.

”I will give two examples; this petroleum subsidy, which is costing the country trillions of naira, was something what we all agreed would be removed,” Governor El-Rufai had said.

However, Mohammed, on Monday, said: “Let me tell you; one of the cabals is Aisha Buhari. Aisha that is talking is part of the cabals. We knew the cabals of the late Abba Kyari.

“When she started talking of the cabals, she didn’t have the guts to come and name names.

“For the first time in Nigeria, I started to mention names,” she stated.
