Nigerian music star Nasboi has released the cinematic visuals for his new single ‘Friday Night’, featuring a surprise appearance by African Footballer of the Year, Victor Osimhen.
The feel-good anthem, produced by Deeyaso, blends catchy melodies with inspiring lyrics that encourage celebration, resilience, and living in the moment.
The music video, directed by the acclaimed Director Pink and released under Eminent Music, opens with a dramatic reenactment inspired by Nasboi’s real-life car accident during his nationwide 36-state tour in Bauchi State.
The opening lyric, “forward ever, never look back,” sets the tone for a story of perseverance and triumph that runs through the track.
A standout moment comes as Nasboi sings, “I want to be a baller like Osimhen,” paying homage to the Nigerian football star whose journey reflects the same spirit of hard work and victory.
Osimhen appears in the video to mark Nasboi’s recent signing with Turkish football giants, Galatasaray, turning the song into a celebration of success and new beginnings.
“Nasboi is a hugely talented star, and as a label, we are committed to putting him in the spotlight,” says Dr. Wisdom Okoye, CEO of Eminent Music.
The visual not only reinforces Nasboi’s growing influence in the Afrobeats scene but also showcases Eminent Music’s efforts in taking his artistry to the global stage.
Since breaking out with a string of hits in 2023, Nasboi has captured the hearts of fans and industry heavyweights alike—including Afrobeats icon Davido, who praised ‘Friday Night’.
“I want people to understand that with determination and hard work, anything is possible,” Nasboi shared. “But also, have fun and celebrate the little wins—we only live once.”
‘Friday Night’ is now streaming on YouTube and other digital platforms, marking another milestone in Nasboi’s meteoric rise in Nigerian music.
