The Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) All-Share Index and market capitalisation rose by 0.92 per cent in the just-concluded week.
The All-Share Index closed the week at 252,113.41, compared with 249,804.56 recorded in the previous week, while the market capitalisation increased to N163.655 trillion from N162.157 trillion recorded in the preceding week.
The development translated to a weekly gain of N1.498 trillion in the value of listed equities.
All other indices closed higher, except the NGX Insurance, NGX Lotus II and NGX Sovereign Bond indices, which declined by 0.52 per cent, 0.13 per cent, and 0.003 per cent, respectively.
A turnover of 4.689 billion shares worth N240.824 billion in 261,198 deals was traded during week.
This was in contrast to 3.249 billion shares valued at N237.986 billion that exchanged hands last week in 287,919 deals.
The Financial Services Industry led the activity chart with 3.537 billion shares valued at N116.666 billion traded in 115,985 deals.
This contributed 75.43 per cent and 48.44 per cent to the total equity turnover volume and value respectively.
The ICT Industry followed with 279.827 million shares worth N15.773 billion in 29,520 deals, while the third place was occupied by the Conglomerates Industry, with a turnover of 154.165 million shares worth N6.621 billion in 4,540 deals.

Trading in the top three equities – Fidelity Bank Plc, Fortis Global Insurance Plc, and Zenith Bank Plc – accounted for 2.020 billion shares worth N54.057 billion in 21,385 deals.
This contributed 43.08 per cent and 22.45 per cent to the total equity turnover volume and value respectively.
61 equities appreciated in price during the week, higher than 52 equities in the previous week.
32 equities depreciated in price, same as 32 equities in the previous week, while 53 equities remained unchanged, lower than 63 recorded in the previous week.
The top five gainers during the week were Critical Minerals Financing Corp., Thomas Wyatt Nigeria Plc, UPDC Plc, Omatek Ventures Plc, and Fortis Global Plc, which appreciated by N1.22, 65k, 75k, 28k, and 35k, respectively.
Conversely, Haldane McCall Plc, Champion Breweries Plc, TotalEnergies Marketing Nigeria Plc, Okomu Oil Palm Company Plc, and Multiverse Mining and Exploration Plc led the losers’ chart.
The stocks declined by 60k, N1.30, N57.60, N141.80, and N2.10, respectively.
