The Chief of Operations at Naval Headquarters, Rear Admiral Musa Katagum, has died following a brief illness.

Katagum, a senior officer of the Nigerian Navy, previously served at Defence Headquarters and was also former Chief of Naval Intelligence before his recent appointment as Chief of Operations by the Chief of Naval Staff.

In his role, he oversaw key operational activities and contributed to strengthening Nigeria’s maritime security architecture.
