Nigeria’s Super Eagles tame Wild Dogs of Guinea

The Super Eagles of Nigeria, on Wednesday, finished top of the Group D of the African Cup of Nations in Cameroon with a 2-0 defeat of the Wild Dogs of Guinea Bissau.

Sadiq Umar scored the first goal of the match held at Roumde Adjia Stadium, Garoua, before a nice finish by William Troost-Ekong.

The win over Guinea Bissau made the Super Eagles the only team that qualified to the last 16 round winning all group matches at the 33rd AFCON.

The three-time African champions have established themselves as one of the favourites of the tournament with an outstanding performance in their first two matches against Egypt and Sudan.
