NNPC Limited has confirmed an explosion on the Escravos–Lagos Pipeline, which occurred at about 5:50 p.m. on December 10, 2025, near Tebijor, Okpele and Ikpopo communities in the Gbaramatu Kingdom of Delta State.

Andy Odeh, NNPC spokesperson said preliminary checks showed a pressure drop on the NNPC Gas Infrastructure Company (NGIC) pipeline, indicating a possible loss of containment.
