The National Working Committee of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) has dissolved its executive committees at the state, local government and ward levels in Kano State.
In a statement issued in Abuja on Friday, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Ladipo Johnson, said the decision followed an emergency meeting and was taken in line with the NNPP constitution.
He explained that the NWC will appoint caretaker committees to manage the affected structures pending further directives.
Johnson thanked the former executives for their service and contributions to the party, assuring them that their efforts were appreciated.
Further guidelines on the interim arrangements, he added, will be made public in due course.
