NNPP to Members: Please don’t defect to APC, other parties

The New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) has called on its members to remain steadfast and resist pressure to defect to other political parties, including the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Speaking at the party headquarters on Monday, NNPP chairman Hashim Suleiman Dungurawa said the party at both the state and national levels — along with its national leader, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso — does not support any move by members to leave the party.

He reminded members of their responsibilities to the people of Kano State and to the party’s constitution, which is focused on improving key sectors such as education, agriculture, and commerce.

Dungurawa also dismissed rumours of internal conflict, especially claims that some individuals were trying to create tension between Governor Abba Yusuf and Mr. Kwankwaso, describing such allegations as unfounded.

The NNPP appealed to supporters to continue standing with the party and its leadership as preparations build toward the 2027 general elections.
