Operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kano State Command, have arrested four suspected vandals and burglars allegedly involved in housebreaking and theft across the state.
In a statement issued by the command’s spokesperson, Ibrahim Abdullahi, the suspects were apprehended in separate operations carried out in Dambatta, Fagge, and Tarauni Local Government Areas.
According to Abdullahi, the suspects confessed to the crimes after being found in possession of various stolen items.
Recovered exhibits include nine mobile phones, a bicycle, three standing fans, three solar panels, a flat-screen television, two bundles of wire, two burglary-proof windows, three MP3 speakers, a small solar panel, a power bank, and three vehicle tyres.
He said the arrests were part of the command’s sustained efforts to curb vandalism and other criminal activities within Kano State.
Abdullahi added that investigations into the cases have been concluded and that the suspects will be charged to court upon completion of legal procedures.
