NSCDC vehicle conveying election materials to Lagos crashes in Abuja

The vehicle of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) on election duty has been involved in an accident at the Giri roundabout in Abuja.

It was gathered that some NSCDC officers in the vehicle were injured.

The officers were said to be conveying election materials to Lagos State before the incident.

A viral video showed passersby picking up the materials scattered on the ground.

However, the number of officers in the vehicle has yet to be ascertained as of press time.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had declared that 87.2 million voters will vote in the presidential and National Assembly elections on Saturday, February 25, 2023.
