The National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved two full-time undergraduate programmes for the Lagos State University (LASU).

The Deputy Registrar and Coordinator of the Centre for Information and Public Relations, LASU, Oluwayemisi Thomas-Onashile, made this known via a statement issued on Saturday, July 19, 2025.

Thomas-Onashile said the programmes would take off in the 2025/2026 academic session.

Thomas-Onashile listed the approved programmes as Music Education and Social Studies and Civic Education.

She stated that the approval was sequel to a recent verification visit to the university by a panel of experts saddled with assessing the availability of human and material resources for the proposed programmes.
