ODA honours Akinrinade, Maduka, Oyinlola, founding members

The Osun Development Association (ODA) is set to hold a grand reception and honours event in celebration and appreciation of its founding members.

The event scheduled to hold at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Lagos, on Sunday, June 2, 2024, is designed as a mark of tribute in honour of the visionaries who laid the foundation for the association.

ODA is a distinguished assembly of non-partisan Osun State elders, thought leaders, technocrats, and professionals.

Speaking about the event, the association’s Chairman, Dr. Segun Aina, noted that: “We are privileged to recognize and honour the late Chief Benjamin Adigun, Prof. Olu Aina, Chief Inaolaji Aboaba, Prince Tunde Ponnle, late Prince Duro Oyinlola, and late Prof. Tunde Odetola. Their legacies continue to inspire us.”

Aina noted that the event will also honour the commitment and dedication of Lt Gen Alani Akinrinade (Rtd) and Engr (Mrs) Joana Maduka, who are current members of the Board of Trustees (BOT).

“Their dedication to Osun State’s progress is invaluable,” he added.

The grand reception also serves as an opportunity to inaugurate the ODA Council of Elders as well as induction of new members who have been recently admitted.

His words: “The programme will include tributes to founding members, presentations showcasing ODA’s past achievements, inauguration of the Elders Council, induction of new members and discussions on future plans for Osun State’s development. Our goal is to propel Osun State towards a prosperous future through strategic initiatives.”

The keynote address will be delivered by Mr. Seye Oyeleye, Director General of Development Agenda for Western Nigeria (DAWN Commission).
