Odumodublvck drops ‘Pity This Boy’ video, reveals ₦40m gift from Rema

Rising rap star Odumodublvck has released the official music video for his fan-favorite track Pity This Boy featuring Victony, taken from his latest project The Machine Is Coming.

Directed by acclaimed cinematographer The Alien, the video delivers a cinematic visual experience that captures Odumodublvck’s flair for storytelling. In the video, he takes on multiple roles to express themes of love, loyalty, and the struggle to provide for his partner.

The release comes with a surprise revelation: Grammy-nominated Afrobeats sensation Rema gifted Odumodublvck ₦40 million to fund the video’s production. The rapper shared the news while expressing gratitude for the support he’s received from industry peers.

Pity This Boy is one of the standout tracks on The Machine Is Coming, a precursor to Odumodublvck’s highly anticipated album The Industry Machine, due later this year. The upcoming project promises a heavyweight lineup, with confirmed features from UK rap icons Skepta and Stormzy, as well as Afrobeats megastar Davido — who recently presented Odumodublvck with the Next Rated award at the 17th Headies.

Odumodublvck’s 2025 is shaping up to be eventful. Alongside musical releases, he’s locked in a rap feud with fellow Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez, who has challenged him to settle their beef in the studio. While a direct lyrical clash seems unlikely for now, fans can expect a new single featuring street-pop maverick Portable and rappers Reeplay and Magnito.

Before long, Odumodublvck will hit the road as part of Davido’s 5ive Alive tour, joining Victony and Morravey as supporting acts — a major move that will put him on even bigger stages as his star continues to rise.
