The Acting Chairman of the Federal Character Commission, Kayode Oladele, has conducted a comprehensive tour of the facility of the FCC’s headquarters in Abuja.

Oladele, during the tour on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, engaged with staff and gained first hand insights into daily activities of the FCC.

This was a follow up to an earlier meeting with directors in the FCC’s board room where he solicited their support and cooperation to run the affairs of the commission

Oladele said the tour was aimed at reinforcing the commission’s commitment to operational excellence and employee well-beings.

Oladele, who met with Directors and Heads of Divisions, engaged them in discussions about ongoing projects and challenges in their various departments.

He highlighted the importance of staff welfare and conducive work environment in fostering a positive development in the commission.

“It’s important to ensure staff’s dedication and passion for their work everyday, therefore, it’s my plan to provide the staff with the equipment, financial, and materials resources they need to do their work as well as support their daily needs to succeed,” the FCC boss stated.

Oladele further emphasised the importance of operational efficiency and streamlined workflows.

He commended the efforts of the directors and staff in optimising performances and improving services, saying: “I’m happy with your level of commitment to operational excellence, which, I believe is crucial to the achievement of our Commission’s mandate.”

The key aspect of the tour involved direct interaction with staff, spending time in their various departments, listening to their challenges, and addressing their concerns.

Oladele also set up a committee to restructure activities in the Monitoring and Enforcement (M&E) Department of the FCC with a view to strengthening the department for better performance and efficiency.
