Olubadan-designate, Ladoja, hails Globacom’s role in Nigeria’s telecom revolution

Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, the Olubadan-designate set for enthronement on Friday, September 26, 2025, has commended Globacom for its transformative role in Nigeria’s telecommunications sector.

Receiving the Glo Enterprise team at his Bodija residence in Ibadan, the former Oyo State governor described the company as “the pride of Nigeria,” urging citizens to continue supporting its growth.

According to him, Globacom’s entry into the market rescued Nigerians from the exploitative practices of early telecom operators.

“If not for Glo’s timely intervention, Nigerians would still be paying per minute, even if all they said was ‘hello, how are you?’” he said.

The monarch-designate also prayed for the continued health and success of Globacom’s founder and chairman, Dr. Mike Adenuga Jr., while expressing hope for the company’s support during his coronation and beyond.

Earlier, Head of Enterprise Sales at Globacom, Mr. Adeniyi Odejobi, congratulated Oba Ladoja on behalf of the company’s board and management.

He assured the incoming Olubadan of Globacom’s readiness to meet his communication needs and support his reign.
